And I think those traditions are so great (I may even adopt the doughnut one... that's the best!)<br /><br />And good for you with keeping things simple. When we started planning my son's second birthday my husband immediately disregarded any suggestions that would stress me out (which was basically every suggestion). So instead we ordered pizza, ate cupcakes (baked by my mother-in-law) and took our son and three of his friends (and parents) to a local children's museum where they were plenty entertained without any planning on my part. And the best part... we said "no presents" on the (e-mailed) invitations.
